About one and half million Polish people suffer from new phenomena, which is an Adult Children of Alcoholics Syndrome. It is connected with alcoholic disease of one, or both parents. Stories about life (functioning) of Adult Children of Alcoholics were the aim of presented in the paper researches. The narrative interviews, which concerned such areas of lives of Adult Children of Alcoholics as: sense of selfesteem, role, which their childhood plays in their functioning and current family life, as well as relations with society, constituted method of collecting material. The asked questions were not a sum of answers, but spontaneous narration, which was not disturbed by the person, who was conducting the interview. A narrative interview was used as method of researches and it was used to find the answer on asked questions [interviews were conducted by students, who are preparing their theses under my guidance]. Interviews were conducted among 15 people. Only narrative fragments reflecting "partial" image of biography of Adult Children of Alcoholics were used in the paper. Conducted interviews from among Adult Children of Alcoholics that shows educating the alcoholic family environment is undoubtedly a significant impact on the proper functioning of the child in his adult life.
